hey, about the skis, they are 'fat' but not much. Most twin tip are at least 80mm underfoot (waist) and some are as wide as 140mm now (really big fat twin tip). Since you're in BC, its good to have a wide skis (88 is good, thats how wide my backcountry skis are) since you can use them in the park and you can still use them in powder, when there is some (not this year haha).
